TrailForm Studio (the “App”) converts GPX routes and terrain elevation data into customizable 3D-printable models. This policy explains how the App handles information.

1. Routes, Files, and Local Processing

The App processes files you choose to import, including GPX routes and terrain elevation files. Route data may include precise geographic coordinates, elevation values, and route names.

Route editing, terrain processing, 3D previews, and model generation take place on your device. The App stores your latest project, preferences, and cached terrain data locally. It does not upload your GPX files or models to a developer-operated server and does not require an account.

The App does not request access to your device's live GPS location, contacts, or health records. Imported routes can nevertheless reveal locations you have visited. The App does not modify your original imported files.

2. Downloading Terrain Data

If you choose to download terrain data, the App requests public elevation tiles hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The request includes the geographic tile identifier, which reveals the area requested. The hosting service receives your IP address and standard connection information. Your GPX file and complete route are not uploaded as part of this request.

3. Advertising and Privacy Choices

The App uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform to display advertisements and manage advertising privacy choices.

Depending on your settings and applicable requirements, Google's advertising services may process your IP address and approximate location derived from it, advertising and app identifiers, device information, app/ad interactions, and diagnostic data. These services use data for purposes including advertising delivery, measurement, service operation, and fraud prevention. The App does not provide your GPX files, route coordinates, route names, or 3D models to the advertising SDK.

Where required, a privacy message allows you to make advertising choices. You can revisit these choices through the App's advertising privacy option where available. You can also manage your advertising identifier in Android settings. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent all processing needed to serve other types of ads.

4. Firebase, Analytics, and Crash Reporting

The current App includes Firebase core configuration but does not use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or Sentry. It does not use Firebase to upload or store your routes or models. Advertising-related measurements and diagnostics are described in Section 3.

5. Exports and External Services

You can save or share GPX, STL, and 3MF files using Android's file and sharing features. Files are provided to the destination you select, which may be another app, a person, or a cloud storage provider. Exported GPX files contain geographic route information. The recipient's handling of shared files is governed by its own policies.

The App does not sign in to Garmin Connect or Huawei Health or access their accounts. It imports compatible files you provide. External links open services governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Retention and Deletion

The App's latest project and settings remain on your device until replaced or removed. You can delete cached terrain data in the App's settings. Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling it removes its private local data. Original files and exports saved outside the App must be deleted separately; copies shared with other services may remain with those services.

If you email us, we process your email address and message to respond. We retain correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and satisfy applicable legal obligations. Third-party providers apply their own retention rules to information they process.

7. Legal Bases and Your Rights

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we process information necessary to provide features you request to deliver the service, handle support requests based on our legitimate interest in responding to users, and rely on consent where required for advertising-related processing. We may also retain information to meet legal obligations.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise rights concerning information we hold. We cannot remotely access or delete files stored only on your device.

Google, AWS, and services you choose may process information outside your country. Their privacy notices describe relevant international transfers and safeguards.

8. Children

The App is not specifically directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.
